Taste SMALL FRUIT AND JAMS

There are also small fruit producers in the Mont Saint-Hilaire Biosphere Reserve area. Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, black currents, red currents, and so on, are sometimes grown alongside apples, and are a favourite of visitors. The production of small fruit revitalizes the economy of rural areas. These crops are not only decorative—they also provide a habitat for species such as bees or birds. Many producers allow you to pick your own fruit, which means that kids and adults can have fun while they learn about the world of agriculture. These different small fruits are consumed as they are, or are used various ways: in jams, jellies, pies, and so on. There’s something for everyone!
