Agricultural fields, orchards, maple forests, peatlands and swamps are just a few of the habitats found in the Mont Saint-Hilaire Biosphere Reserve. Certain types of forests, such as oak groves, which can be found on the mountain’s summit, and the sugar maple hickory stands in the piedmont have been designated “exceptional forest ecosystems” by the Quebec government.
