enjoy flora
The Mont Saint-Hilaire Biosphere Reserve has exceptionally rich flora. There are over 1,000 plant species on the mountain. This means that out of all the species found in Quebec, more than one in five of these species can be found on the mountain. Certain types of forests, such as oak groves, which can be found on the mountain’s summit, and the sugar maple-hickory stands in the piedmont, have been designated “exceptional forest ecosystems” by the Quebec government.
